Mexico’s own list of its cities: the population of each city as Thomas Brinkhoff: City Population (citypopulation.de), from INEGI (Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Geografia), census counts it (Mexico: Cities (census, 2020-03-15), 15 March 2020), the way the country ranks its cities. A city that is not one of the list’s cities of 10,000 people or more is left out. Metro area, urban centre and city proper rank the same cities by the worldwide measures instead, so they compare across borders. One per group: the largest city of each state by this measure, then ranked together.
