Greece’s own list of its cities: the population of each municipality as Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) counts it (2021 Population and Housing Census, resident population by Region, Regional Unit, Municipality and sex (mon_plith_2021.xlsx), 2021 census), the way the country ranks its cities. A city that is not one of the list’s municipalities of 10,000 people or more is left out. Metro area, urban centre and city proper rank the same cities by the worldwide measures instead, so they compare across borders.
