Poland’s own list of its cities: the population of each town as Statistics Poland (GUS) counts it (Ludność. Stan i struktura oraz ruch naturalny w przekroju terytorialnym w 2025 r. Stan w dniu 31 grudnia, table 11, 31 December 2025), the way the country ranks its cities. A city that is not one of the list’s towns of 10,000 people or more is left out. Metro area, urban centre and city proper rank the same cities by the worldwide measures instead, so they compare across borders.
